Rise
What do you do when your soul gets sucked out
Allow it to return
Rising up slowly
like a seedling on a damp forest floor
Trying desperately to reach up
And grasp the sunlight
Because it just needs the chance
Should it rise like bamboo
Fast, roots spreading
Almost invasive
Giving no time to understand
What was there before
A quick look at the body
Of the soulless person
And it reminds you
Of a forest ravaged by fire
Everything dead
Charred and lifeless
No signs of coming back
But like the Phoenix
We rise from the ashes
The soul grows stronger
No longer destroyed
No longer dead
Powerful and ready
To take on the world
